Abdullahi Tsanni is a news intern at STAT. Abdullahi recently earned a master’s degree in science writing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has written extensively for Nature, BMJ, and Popular Science. He was an early-career fellow at The Open Notebook and is passionate about expanding coverage of biomedical research, infectious diseases, and global health issues in Africa. He helped found the nonprofit African Science Literacy Network to connect African scientists with journalists to enhance science communication across Africa.
