Karen Pennar is the night news editor at STAT. Previously she was the editor of Voices of NY, a website at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York. Karen has worked in health care research, written plays, and was an editor at BusinessWeek magazine for nearly two decades. She has a master’s degree in public health from Yale University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Barnard College.
